Overview Enrollment Specialist I is primarily responsible for performing enrollment meetings on behalf of the company and our brokers. The Enrollment Specialist I will facilitate in-person, virtual and recorded open enrollment meetings. This role requires working knowledge of Medical and Ancillary carriers and plans for Small Group, Large Group and Alternative Funding, and knowledge of benefits, enrollment and underwriting guidelines for each carrier.

The Enrollment Specialist I operates at an introductory level, with supervision and enhanced direction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely arrival and planning of enrollment meetings in person, recorded and via Zoom. Observations may be conducted to ensure level of execution.
  • Communicate directly with Sales Consultants and Pre-Sales Support Specialist to prepare for enrollment meetings and provide a summary of the meeting status after completion.
  • Collect required information for enrollment meeting preparation from Sales Consultants or brokers for enrollment meetings and PowerPoint creations with oversight.
  • Demonstrate exceptional presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate understanding of market factors, carriers, plans, and benefits for the carriers in California.
  • Learn Alternative Funding products in California to fully explain the products at enrollment meetings.
  • Navigate and properly use the Company’s website and tools.
  • Generate PROvider Finder and PRORx searches as requested.
  • Proficient in Zoom and other presentation platforms as needed.
  • Observe and be aware of the PowerPoint creation process.
  • Participate in team collaboration to identify enhancements for broker and client open enrollment experiences (pre-enrollment communication and presentation).
  • Learn internal workflow and observe the role of Pre-Sales team members.
  • Provide backup or complete other activities as assigned within the department/company as needed/requested.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish to conduct bilingual enrollment meetings and presentations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Must reside in Southern CA, preferably Los Angeles or Orange County, with flexibility to travel to Northern CA if needed.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of health care/medical sales/service experience preferred.
  • Valid California life/health insurance license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to attend interoffice meetings and to flex and problem solve in fluid situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to foster open communication with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by management.
  • Must be able to travel 50-70% of the time; may require in/out of state multi-day travel.
  • High level planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant, cordial, and professional demeanor with coworkers and brokers, especially in heated situations.
  • Physical ability to sit for long periods; lift a minimum of 5 pounds; file, stand, bend, reach and pull.
  • Ability to work responsibly and independently from home.
Compensation
  • Salary Range - $21.64/hour to $28.85/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education and/or skill level.
  • The salary range is the range Warner Pacific in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The company may pay more or less. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered wages or compensation until earned, vested and determinable under applicable policies and plans. Bonus, commissions, benefits, or other compensation remain at the Company’s sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
