Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to support a busy accounting team in Westlake, Ohio. This contract position offers flexible part-time scheduling, with the opportunity to work fully remote after onboarding and once the individual is operating independently. The person in this role will help maintain accurate receivables records, support invoicing activities, and follow up on outstanding balances in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Apply incoming payments accurately within Net Suite and ensure customer accounts are updated in a timely manner.
• Review aging activity, monitor overdue balances, and communicate with commercial customers regarding outstanding invoices.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Research deductions and short payments, gather supporting details, and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders.
• Obtain and organize proof of delivery documentation to support billing and invoice validation.
• Assist with invoicing-related tasks and maintain complete, accurate accounts receivable records.
• Support cash collection efforts by following up on open items and documenting collection activity.
• Contribute to day-to-day accounts receivable operations based on workload priorities and business needs.
