Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a full-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to work directly alongside the doctor and keep clinical and operational flow running smoothly. You will report directly to the doctor and perform expanded functions under direct supervision.

We weigh personality, attitude, and commitment above raw years of experience. A strong EFDA with the right disposition is a better fit for us than a veteran who is not fully bought in. Strong DA or CDA candidates with the right attitude will also be considered.

  • Perform expanded functions under the doctor's direct supervision, as permitted by your Ohio EFDA registration
  • Provide chairside assistance across restorative, cosmetic, and general procedures
  • Take digital X-rays
  • Perform intraoral scanning and support digital workflows, including CEREC and Invisalign
  • Handle instrument sterilization, operatory setup, breakdown, and turnover
  • Greet patients, manage hand-offs, and communicate clearly chairside
  • Use Eaglesoft practice management software (training provided as needed)
  • Support the doctor, hygiene team, and front desk as the day requires
  • Work independently on sterilization, lab organization, and office support when the doctor is out
Qualifications Required
  • Current EFDA registration with the Ohio State Dental Board
  • Current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Evidence of Hepatitis B immunity or immunization, per Ohio law
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with practice management and imaging software
Preferred
  • DANB CDA, CODA, or AMT RDA certification
  • Experience with CEREC, intraoral scanners, Invisalign, or Eaglesoft
The person we're looking for is:
  • Committed. Treats this as a career, not a stop. Shows up, follows through, and takes ownership.
  • Responsible and smart. Thinks ahead, catches details, and uses good judgment under pressure.
  • Coachable. Takes constructive criticism well and uses it to grow.
  • Skilled and careful. Delivers precise, high-quality clinical care that matches our standards.
  • Positive and drama-free. Adds to a family-style team culture.
  • Patient-focused. Enjoys serving a high-end patient base that values excellent care
  • Paid time off from day one: 10 days (90 hours) in year one, granted each January after that, increasing every five years
  • Nine paid holidays
, including Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and New’s Eve
  • 401(k): 3% match plus profit sharing (about 5% total employer contribution) after one year
  • Free dental care after six months, with courtesy discounts for family members
  • Uniforms: embroidered scrub jackets and pants provided
  • Continuing education: job-related CE paid in full, with team trips to CE events and industry shows (past trips include Denver, Florida, Chicago, and Las Vegas)
  • Team culture: quarterly team outings and a full-day off-site retreat every 12-18 months
