The Systems Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing highly scalable and resilient infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on automation, observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure high availability and operational excellence across cloud and on-prem environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient systems using automation and infrastructure-as-code
- Implement and support monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployment automation
- Build and operate cloud-based platforms in AWS and/or Azure environments
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and programming languages
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Manage and optimize containerized environments using Kubernetes
- Maintain and support Linux and Windows-based systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and performance
- Support ITSM processes including incident, change, and problem management
- Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and resiliency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent
- Experience building and operating systems in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Shell, or Power Shell
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Understanding of Dev Ops principles and cloud computing concepts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now
- Experience working in SRE or systems engineering environments
- Experience maintaining highly scalable and resilient systems
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
