Overview
Position:
Product Master Data Specialist at Palmer Holland
This role focuses on qualification and setup of new products, troubleshooting product/samples releases from customs due to compliance issues, overseeing USMCA and Country of Origin annual confirmations, customer communication, and ensuring all required product information is on file per established procedures.
Essential Tasks Of The Position- Qualify new products and complete new product setup in systems; maintain all required information in product Master Data files
- Assist the commercial team in executing new product launches by ensuring accurate product information is obtained and accessible to internal teams, 3rd party warehouses, and customers
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Technical Data Sheets (TDS), labels, and other product documents
- Run the Product Change Notification (PCN) process: decide when a PCN is necessary, draft communications to internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate with the compliance team to complete the process
- Respond to customer questions relating to product regulations/specifications
- Oversee Annual USMCA confirmation process with suppliers and communicate updates to customers
- Provide TSCA confirmations and USMCA certificates for inbound and outbound shipments upon request
- Lead projects as assigned by the Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer
- Maintain product Master Data with a high level of data integrity

Education- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or other related discipline
- Equivalent work experience in this industry or related field may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2-4 years’ work experience in the chemical distribution industry or related field
- Experience with Hazardous Materials, DOT, EHS, REACH, OSHA, GHS, TSCA preferred
- Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and contact management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with corporate policies when interacting with customers
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Detail oriented with strong, accurate clerical skills
- Proficient at multi-tasking
- Proactive problem solver
- Highly motivated
- Satisfactory motor skills relevant to position
- Ability to sit for long periods
