Cook (PRN)

Shift: Varies
Starting Wage: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

• Prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, providing exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion.
• Ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and correct food temperatures.
• Familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs, and participate in resident orientations.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our residents.
• Current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
• Demonstrated leadership, training, and supervision skills.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
• Active in a role that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk‑in freezers.
• Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events.
• Criminally cleared.
