The Principal Full Stack Engineer will design and develop mission-critical web applications and financial tools using modern technology stacks in a collaborative environment. As part of the WI Operations Modernization Chapter, this role partners closely with business, operations, and engineering teams to deliver next-generation technology solutions that transform operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web applications and financial tools
- Collaborate with business, operations, and engineering teams to implement modern technology solutions
- Build scalable applications across UI, API, and data layers
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Design and develop APIs and microservices architectures
- Implement cloud-based solutions deployed on AWS or Azure
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and delivery
- Apply Dev Ops practices including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and best engineering practices
- Learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience building applications across UI, API, and data layers
- Strong Java development experience (primary focus – ~80%)
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Strong experience with API Design & Development and Microservices Architecture
- Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, and Stash
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Cloud deployment experience using AWS or Azure
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies
Skills:
- Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) principles and CMIS standards
- Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, or SQS
- Experience with Groovy
- Experience with Camunda BPM
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
