Position: Production Technician - 8h 2nd Shift

Production Technician - 8h 2nd Shift – Plastipak

What we offer
  • Up to $18.00/hour plus overtime after 40 hours a week
  • 2nd Shift: 3 PM – 11 PM, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities
  • Operate extrusion and blow‑molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe and climate‑controlled environment
  • Monitor equipment and adjust settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high‑quality rigid plastic containers
  • Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Ensure customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications such as bottle weights and dimensions
  • Collaborate with the team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality and scrap reduction
  • Grow your skills through formal and on‑the‑job training, with opportunities for career advancement
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician working with high‑volume production equipment
  • Working knowledge of extrusion or blow‑molding equipment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical/ mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
