Infection Control Coordinator – RN Registered Nurse

Join the Nex Care Well Bridge Senior Living team as an Infection Control Coordinator. This role focuses on identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in our long‑term care facility.

The Infection Control Coordinator will work Monday to Friday and rotate being on call with several other leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and revise infection control policies and procedures.
  • Investigate suspected outbreaks of infection.
  • Provide consultation on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies.
  • Stay current with trends, developments, and regulations in extended‑care facility patient care.
  • Coordinate and present new‑hire orientation programs for all staff.
  • Develop and deliver clinical orientation and training for new nursing team members.
  • Research, design, and implement in‑service programs to reinforce policies, introduce new techniques, and address identified deficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school.
  • RN license in the State of Michigan and current CPR certification.
  • 3‑5 years of RN experience in acute, extended, or long‑term care, with at least six months of employee education experience.
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and customer‑service skills.
  • Team player committed to supporting team members.
