Job Description

Be part of the excitement and join our Engineering Administrative team! This role is expected to provide comprehensive administrative support to our active and growing engineering teams.

The selected candidate will provide a full range of administrative work assignments. We are looking for a competent, experienced professional who is highly organized, has good business sense and savvy, an effective communicator and comfortable interacting with all levels of management.

The Engineering Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. What You ll Do:

  • Support the Department s leaders with daily tasks and provide a proactive stance for assessment of coming events and assignments.
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks for team members in the Software and Ground Systems organization.
  • Maintain and proactively manage calendars for managers, schedule meetings, deconflict appointments and ensure the smooth flow of operations via accurate time management.
  • Schedule interviews, facilitate candidate pick up/drop offs, coordinate with interview panel and Talent Acquisition staff.
  • Disseminate all-team communications, including service anniversaries, birthdays, promotions and announcements relevant to the entire group.
  • Manage reporting and data coordination both up and down enterprise reporting lines.
  • Prepare written documents, communications, and presentation materials for meetings and convenings.
  • Set-up and facilitate meetings with proficiency; keep minutes as necessary and order catering when requested.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely office moves for new and current program team members.
  • Make travel arrangements and reservations in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Prepare post-travel and business expense reports using Concur.
  • Perform computer data entry, retrieval, and word processing. Operate other computer software programs and various other types of office equipment.
  • File and retrieve records, folders, or other materials.
  • Coordinate engagement events and training for the unit.
  • Learn and become proficient in enterprise systems, rules and procedures.
  • Work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Extensive computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Applications) and high-level administrative skills.
  • Ability to work with considerable independence and as part of the team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Demonstrated decision making based on knowledge of organization policies and procedures, and the Director’s requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive information.

Full-Time Salary Range: $47488 – $75980
