Civil Concrete Estimator

Three Brothers Concrete is seeking an estimator to manage workforce stability, ensure project profitability, and support efforts to control costs. Your mission will be to look after our company's best interests so that the rest of our team can focus on delivering the best results for our valued clients.

Three Brothers Concrete is a Denver-based concrete contractor founded in 2003.  to learn more about our company and our values.

• Find and select structural, flatwork, sitework, and municipal concrete jobs to bid on.
• Perform job walks to observe any field conditions that could affect the construction and the prospective bid.
• Identify any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents.
• Prepare RFI questions to resolve conflicts and problems and ensure RFI responses, or lack thereof, are contemplated in the final proposal.
• Review and evaluate bids prepared by team members.
• Meet with customers / clients to discuss bid status, present proposals, negotiate bids, and present / solve issues.
• Keep company management, project managers, clients, and all others involved in a project up-to-date on bid progress.
• Perform research to develop ways to reduce overall project costs.
• Attend estimating, sales, and project meetings.
• Participate in project post-mortem meetings to identify successes and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure that pricing and labor unit assumptions are up to date.
• Ensure that Three Brothers Concrete commitments are met.

• Monitor the capacity of Field Operations and align future projects with capabilities.

• Prepare Field Operations to execute by communicating project details and customer expectations.
• Help set up projects across different technology platforms ahead of project start.

• Foster relationships with vendors and subcontractors to establish lower pricing for products or services.
• Request material, equipment, and services quotes. Review the quotes to confirm adherence to request and accuracy of quote.
• Stay current with new products, means, and methods.
• Update subcontractor agreements as needed to comply with commercial insurance requirements.

• Support efforts to build personal relationships with peers, key decision makers of existing and potential clients, and architectural and engineering firms.
• Attend industry-related networking events, client activities, and charitable functions, even outside work hours.
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of HRS services, industry activity, trends, and competitive information.
• Complete prequalification packages.

• May be called to perform other related duties.

• 24 months minimum experience in construction estimating or related work
• 2 months of training in estimating software
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Business
