- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including restorative work, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Take diagnostic x-rays and 3D scans while ensuring adherence to dental x-ray safety standards.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed to protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinating patient flow efficiently.
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant within a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and equipment.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and anatomy knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
