The Academy is seeking a Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher, Grade 5 for the second semester of the  school year (April - September).

SUMMARY

The Substitute is responsible for working with parents, students and staff in a friendly customer service manner. Duties will vary based on assignment, but should be completed with proficiency, professionalism and in a collaborative manner consistent with the standards of care and quality that accompany the highest norms of the profession.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSBILITIES
  • Duties based on assignment under direction of the Substitute Coordinator and Level Principals.
  • Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans that ensure optimal learning and student participation.
  • Assign classwork and homework as necessary according to lesson plans.
  • Maintain a well‑managed classroom and positive learning environment.
  • Work with parents, students and staff in a friendly customer service manner.
