Job Description
Assistant Coach, Middle School Track at The Academy of Charter Schools, a PK‑12 public school of choice located in Westminster, Colorado. SUMMARY
:
Responsible for creating a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning setting, and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by patrolling the field, monitoring student behavior, enforcing school, district, and CHSAA policies, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience with coaching (experience in the sport required, coaching experience preferred).
- 1 year registered CHSAA or PERM Coach certification.
- Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
- Current CHSAA certifications required.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Copy of two current letters of recommendation and current certifications are highly recommended but not required with initial application.
- Stipend: $1,800.00 paid March – May 2026.

- Responsibilities for verifying experience rest with employee.

Reports to:
Athletic Director and Head Athletic Coach. Direct reports:
None.
Additional responsibilities:
Provide purchase information to the Head Athletic Coach before any spend; final authorizer is the Athletic Director; manage cash collections and fund security; follow fundraising requirements as outlined by the Finance Department.
