Assistant Controller

We are seeking an Assistant Controller for our Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN location. The role will partner with the Senior Controller and CFO to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control for our U.S. business. Employees may work remotely up to two days per week with approval.

• Oversee month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of key balance sheet accounts.
• Generate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP for internal and external needs.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and schedules.
• Support internal control activities, SOX testing, and remediation efforts.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes with FP&A and business partners.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insight on variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, providing leadership and coaching.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audit planning and execution to ensure timely deliverables.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other teams on financial initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in Project Accounting, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, and GL/AP/AR.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, asylum, or refugee).
• Not a People’s Republic of China or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen, due to national security requirements.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, consolidated financial statements experience, and accounting close processes.
• Experience with SOX/internal control, ERP systems (SAP S4/HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle Net Suite), and financial reporting tools.
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to convey insights to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Experience supervising or mentoring accounting professionals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with evolving priorities.
• Background in Gov CAS Ledger accounting, AIS, or audit (Big 4 client/provider preferred).
• Motivated by innovation and capable of deep financial analysis.
• Strong cross‑functional relationship building skills.
• Commitment to accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
• Capable of combining retrospective reporting with forward‑looking insights to uncover emerging risks and opportunities.

Paid annually: $137,000 – $171,000 (range includes bonus target when applicable). Salary may vary based on experience, education, and qualifications.
