Overview
Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Quality Technician to work in our Westminster, SC location. This is a 3rd shift position and standard work hours are Sunday-Wednesday 9:30 pm - 7:30 am. Occasional overtime may be required. The starting pay is $20.20 and depends on experience.
Position Information:
With general guidance from Quality Manager, employee uses knowledge of production process and basic mathematical capacities to continuously improve technical aspects of quality assurance. Employee uses statistical techniques, standard measures and methods, training materials, and gauging to meet customer requirements in quality and delivery at the most favorable cost.

Quality Technician Responsibilities:
- Conducts process inspections as directed by QA manager
- Identifies and implements improvements for potential PPM opportunities
- Assists with Receiving Inspection
- Assists with maintaining and updating gages
- Conducts internal quality audits
- Assists with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- Assists with root cause analysis of non-conforming product
- Work with suppliers and customers to support manufacturing processes and improvements
- Participate in 6S activities and ensure the Quality department maintains a safe and neat work environment
- Other special duties and responsibilities as assigned
Quality Technician
Qualifications:
- The position requires skills and knowledge consistent with that of two years of college or trade school or equivalent.
- Note:
Equivalent education equals 2 years of closely related experience for 1 year of education in the quality field. - Good communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office Suite.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, specifically Quality is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship provided now or in the future for this position.
