Position Summary:

The Lead Consultant is knowledgeable in all areas of the store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. They consistently deliver a positive customer experience by taking customer orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing information, recommending appropriate Fed Ex Office products and services, producing complex orders, operating advanced equipment, and managing production flows. The Lead Consultant also provides leadership and resolves escalated customer issues.

General

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers.
  • Manage production flow to ensure all orders are done right and on time.
  • Takes customer orders, gives pricing information, and performs consultative selling.
  • Take lead responsibility for digital imaging, scheduling and running black‑and‑white or color production on full‑service orders.
  • Set up complex orders and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ensure quality during and after the production process.
  • Communicate among shifts and coordinate pick‑up and delivery of customer orders.
  • Provide leadership to team members on an assigned shift and assist in training new members.
  • Collate, sort, and organize customer orders.
  • Operate the POS terminal, handle financial transactions, make change, and complete required financial paperwork.
  • Assist with financial reporting, daily sales close‑outs, and bank deposits.
  • Follow supervisors’ instructions and assist other team members.
  • Follow Fed Ex Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, and security policies.
  • Coordinate all shipping‑related services and activities, including determining appropriate shipping methods and maintaining inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Assemble parcels, prepare goods for shipping, weigh packages, and affix labels.
  • Perform any other duties as needed or required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2+ years of specialized experience in a retail or customer‑service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in force at the time of hiring.
  • For current Fed Ex Office team members, must meet hiring criteria and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to stand during the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, twist at the waist, and bend at the knees on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
  • Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure.
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours.
Pay Transparency

Pay: $19.15 - $22.52/hr
