Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2197) s role may involve assisting guests at checkout, providing customer service, and supporting store operations.
Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $18.25 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering service standards.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns; provide problem solving and clear information about products and services.
- Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
- Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, following safety and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain and assist with use of Target App features (Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering).
- Assist with returns following policies and involve leadership as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area; manage baskets, hangers, and unpurchased items as required.
- Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Operate in a safe, compliant manner and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders, and returns with adherence to applicable laws and policies.
- Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

- You are open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
- Effective communication with a friendly, attentive attitude toward guests and teammates.

- Willingness to educate guests about products and services and engage around offerings.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks within time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office duties as needed.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
- Be able to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
- Work in varying temperatures and conditions when performing duties such as Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
