Vantor's Platform Engineering team is growing and we're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to support the build, deployment, and operations of the Vantor Hub software suite. This team falls within Vantor's Customer Platform and Product Delivery organization, working on a unified platform powering applications used by all of Vantor's customers. We’re looking for a candidate that is inspired by working with a talented group of world‑class engineers, scaling our development efforts, and partnering with product to iterate and deliver exceptional products.

Day to day the team designs, develops, and supports a wide range of custom and third‑party software solutions deployed in AWS, oversees dozens of AWS accounts between commercial and government environments, and guides Dev Ops best practices. We work with hundreds of Vantor engineers to quickly and securely build, test, and release software changes into our various commercial and government AWS environments.

This software and adjacent services are critical to the overall velocity of the organization and allows our teams to introduce business value rapidly without sacrificing quality or security.

As a Software Engineer you will Design, implement, and maintain Observability solutions to monitor, log and trace for platform reliability and to meet customer SLA's.

• Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance.
• Participate in daily standups and sprint planning.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.

• Strong proficiency with Amazon Web Services.
• Strong proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Experience running Postgres databases on K8s infrastructure.
• Experience working on distributed systems and integrating with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack.
• Experience developing REST API endpoints.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and other colleagues.
• Must be U.S. citizen.

• Experience with high availability systems and database replication.
• Success delivering and maintaining complex software systems in production environments.
• Familiarity with designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
