Software Engineer

Day to day the team designs, develops, and supports a wide range of custom and third-party software solutions deployed in AWS, oversees dozens of AWS accounts between commercial and government environments, and guides Dev Ops best practices. We work with hundreds of Vantor engineers to quickly and securely build, test, and release software changes into our various commercial and government AWS environments.

This software and adjacent services are critical to the overall velocity of the organization and allows our teams to introduce business value rapidly without sacrificing quality or security. As a Software Engineer you will Design, implement, and maintain Observability solutions to monitor, log and trace for platform reliability and to meet customer SLA’s.
** Minimum requirements for this position:
** Strong proficiency with Amazon Web Services Strong proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation Proficiency  in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell Experience  running Postgres databases on K8s infrastructure Experience working on distributed systems, and integrating with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack

Experience with microservices architecture.

The ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and other colleagues

Experience with high availability systems and database replication Familiarity with designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
