Xcite Automotive is now seeking an Automotive Detail Shop Assistant Manager for our partner dealers in Westminster, Maryland!

Job Description: In this role, you will partner with the Shop Manager to oversee daily shop operations, lead a team of skilled detailers, and ensure every vehicle meets our high-quality standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of detailing, and the ability to motivate and mentor a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising and coaching detail shop employees.
• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and shift coverage.
• Perform hands‑on automotive detailing as needed to support workflow.
• Ensure all vehicles meet dealership‑ready quality standards before delivery.
• Maintain inventory of detailing products, chemicals, and equipment.
• Monitor and enforce safety procedures, company policies, and quality control.
• Collaborate with dealership managers and internal teams to meet production goals.
• Identify process improvements to increase shop efficiency and turnaround time.

Minimum Qualifications / Must-Haves

• 1+ years of professional automotive detailing experience (interior and exterior).
• Prior supervisory, lead, or assistant manager experience in a shop, dealership, or reconditioning environment.
• Strong knowledge of detailing products, tools, and safety practices.
• Reliable transportation and full-time availability

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a dealership workflow.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves

• Experience as an Assistant Manager, or Lead Detailer

• Background in dealership operations or reconditioning services

• Ability to train and mentor detailers on best practices and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
