WBCE Adjunct Faculty – Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle
Carroll Community College is actively seeking adjunct faculty to provide instruction to students in the field of Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle repair and maintenance. The primary focus of this instruction is to prepare students for ASE certification by instructing on safety concepts while demonstrating skills and knowledge related to Engine Performance and Hybrid and Electrical Vehicles.
Department: Workforce, Business, and Community Education (WBCE)
Pay Grade: Placed on Non-Credit Adjunct Faculty scale
FLSA Status: Exempt

- Physical Demands:
- Light to medium physical effort, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to exchange information and communicate (hear/talk/communicate).
- Visual acuity – perceive surroundings.
- Mental acuity – focus, concentrate, understand and convey subject matter.
- Repetitive motion (e.g., keyboarding).
- Stand/sit/walk/able to move or traverse from one area to another.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience and familiarity with ASE certifications A8 and L3.
- Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Teaching experience preferred; relevant industry certifications considered.
Work Environment: College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty, and the general public in classrooms and campus environments. Includes risks typical of office and training rooms; requires safety precautions.

- Be a resident of DE, MD, PA, VA, WV, or DC as of the first day of employment.
