PLC Controls Engineer; AutoCAD Exp

A well-established systems integrator is seeking a Control Panel Design Engineer with strong project management capabilities and advanced PLC skills. The organization specializes in the design and implementation of PLC-based control and instrumentation systems for both industrial and municipal clients, with a significant focus on water and wastewater applications.

• Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction.
• Design control panels using AutoCAD 2D, including panel layouts and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare and assemble project documentation such as cut sheets, bills of materials, and submittal packages.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems across various platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric Control Expert, Allen-Bradley Studio
  5000, Siemens Simatic, GE).
• Perform onsite system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
• Provide post-startup support and service, maintaining strong client communication and responsiveness.
• Collaborate effectively within a small, cross-functional engineering team and comfortably wear multiple hats.

• Proven PLC programming experience with one or more leading platforms (Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of power distribution equipment including MCCs, VFDs, and starters.
• Familiarity with control panel components such as relays, timers, and pilot devices is a plus.
• Understanding of instrumentation and controls used in the water/wastewater industry is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and self-prioritize.
