The Patient Care Tech (PCT) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The PCT works under the supervision of a licensed nurse who delegates tasks based on patient needs and the PCT’s skill level and abilities. The PCT provides care for adolescent, adult, or geriatric patients.

• Preferred:
  High School Diploma. Completion of High School or GED required.
• Less than 2 years experience. Successful completion of Certified or Geriatric Nursing Assistant course required. Previous Certified or Geriatric Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
• CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant
• CPR – AHA Healthcare Provider

Carroll Hospital Center is a minimal-lift facility. Any moving or lifting of patients must be done with appropriate equipment and/or techniques taught through the Safe Lift program. Appropriate equipment or techniques must be used.
