JOB DESCRIPTION:

The HVAC Technician I conducts pre-build inspections of components and performs a variety of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build HVAC units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain and safeguard business records.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct pre-build inspections of components, noting any pre-existing, handling-damage, prior to beginning the build process.
  • Utilizing approved manufacturing work instructions, use hand, pneumatic, and power tools to assemble components, according to drawing specifications, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices.
  • Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects noted during the build process.
  • Monitor the shelf life of any consumables used to complete the build process.
  • Perform serialization of parts in SAP, our enterprise resource planning system, as pertaining to work orders.
  • Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.

  • The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Westminster, Maryland is $20.44 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education.
