Overview

Rehabilitation Technician – Westmont – Physical/Occupational Therapy

Full‑Time, 40 hours/week. Monday‑Friday; must work two evenings until 7:00pm.

Location:

Westmont – 801 N. Cass Avenue. Expected to travel other sites for coverage needs.

Responsibilities
  • Patient care, support, and guidance
    • Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
    • Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.
    • Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs).
    • Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
    • Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
    • Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
  • Clinic flow
    • Monitor patient arrivals to department.
    • Start patients on time for scheduled appointments / keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
    • Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
    • Order supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.
  • Front‑end tasks
    • Perform necessary front‑end tasks including but not limited to check‑in, co‑pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
    • Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.
    • Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).
Qualifications
  • CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care).
  • High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Understanding of principles and contraindications/precautions in the use of therapy modalities.
  • Ability to identify proper patient set‑up on each piece of equipment with the ability to adjust.
  • Ability to identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.
  • Team‑oriented.
  • Attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Problem‑solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills.
  • Communication skills.
Compensation

Base pay range $15.10–$22.70 per hour, based on skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
