JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a data-driven Finance-Operations Director of Data Science/Analytics to enhance the strategic insights and analytics throughout organization. This role will partner with Finance, Operations, Business Development, and other departments to provide insightful analytics, automate reporting, and create predictive models that drive business performance.
- Financial & Operational Data Analysis:
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial models to track KPIs across departments. - Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling:
Use machine learning and statistical techniques to forecast revenue, cost trends, and operational efficiency. - Cross-Functional Business Partnering:
Work closely with Finance, Operations, Business Development, and other departments to translate complex data into actionable insights. - Automation & Process Improvement:
Optimize data processes, automate reporting, and ensure real-time access to critical business metrics. - Data Governance & Quality:
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data across all reporting platforms. - Technology Stack & Tooling:
Utilize SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or other analytics platforms to generate insights.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required.
- 5-8+ years of experience in BI, Data Science, FP&A, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (or R), and data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Experience in financial modeling, revenue forecasting, and operational efficiency analytics.
- Experience with Alteryx or AI-guided analytic software
- Proficiency in data analytics and ad-hoc business analysis
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Prior experience at private equity owned company strongly preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth environment preferred.
