• Review estimates, contracts and contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.) to become familiar with the project.
• Check erection drawings and piece tickets against contract documents, approval drawings and mark‑ups.
• Suggest or modify details to reduce costs to County Prestress, the owner and/or erector.
• Compare the actual project being drawn with the estimate at the bid sheet and alert Project Manager/Engineer and Estimator of quantity or material deviations.
• Ensure piece drawings are available at least two days prior to their production dates.
• Ensure embedded plates and loose material are checked well before they are required so material can be fabricated, assembled and delivered.
• Stay in continual contact with Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Scheduler to meet erection and production schedules.
• Check dimensions and scope of work of drawings and details prepared by others.
• Work with Project Engineers and Project Coordinators during the development of erection drawings and piece tickets.
• Collaborate with all County Prestress departments to promote a strong working relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects and contractors as required or requested.

• Education – AutoCAD or Revit certification, or Autodesk certified.
• Knowledge and Skills – Detailed experience in precast concrete drafting and detailing; extensive ability to read and comprehend contract drawings.
• Previous Experience – Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in precast.
• Additional Skills – Knowledge of Lec Wall is a plus.
