The Quality Manager leads the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction across all manufacturing and tolling operations. Reporting to the Senior Continuous Improvement Manager, this role is central to advancing systems, establishing accountability, and driving measurable quality performance throughout the organization.
The Quality Manager will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and leadership to sustain ISO 9001 compliance, reduce product variation, and strengthen relationships with tolling partners and key customers.
Essential Functions- Lead, maintain, and continuously advance the company’s ISO 9001–certified Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure consistency, accountability, and ongoing compliance.
- Ensure the QMS framework, documentation, and processes are consistently applied and understood across internal operations and external manufacturing partnerships.
- Own the Safety Amp system and all related document control, corrective action, and audit records to ensure compliance, accuracy, and traceability.
- Act as the Management Representative for external ISO and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of findings.
- Lead cross‑functional root cause investigations for customer complaints and internal nonconformances; verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for sustainability.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to assess and monitor toll manufacturers and raw material suppliers, ensuring adherence to product specifications, process controls, and corrective action requirements.
- Develop, track, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), including defect rates, customer returns, first‑pass yield, and supplier performance.
- Develop and deliver quality assurance and ISO training to enhance understanding and application of quality standards.
- Champion a proactive, “Right First Time” culture and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field (master’s preferred).
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably chemicals or process industries.
- Proven success implementing or upgrading ISO 9001 QMS across internal and tolling environments.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, and CAPA systems.
- Strong analytical ability to develop actionable quality KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; and QMS‑related software.
- Travel for this role is variable (up to 20%) and includes overnight trips to our U.S. plant sites, customer locations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet company standards for an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) background check.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
The work environment is varied and includes office work, both virtual and in‑person meetings, as well as visits to industrial production facilities, heavy industrial customer sites, and chemical product manufacturing plants in the U.S. While at industrial sites, the role involves frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise. Appropriate PPE such as gloves, respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety boots must be worn as required.
Inability to work safely around chemicals or use PPE may be disqualifying.
