Security Dispensary Associate

Summary

• Monitor and control facility access; verify identification, age, and eligibility for entry in accordance with store procedures and applicable regulations.
• Conduct interior and exterior observations or patrols as assigned to deter theft, loitering, diversion, and unauthorized access.
• Observe surveillance and alarm systems as authorized; promptly report malfunctions, suspicious activity, and security concerns.
• Respond calmly to disturbances, conflicts, and security incidents; use de-escalation techniques and notify management.
• Contact emergency services or coordinate with law enforcement when appropriate and in accordance with company procedures.
• Support required visitor logs, restricted-access controls, security records, and incident reporting.
• Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuations, lockdowns, and medical incidents, consistent with training.
• Support secure opening and closing procedures and help maintain a clean, safe, customer-ready environment

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle transactions accurately when trained and authorized.
• Welcome customers as a host, verify IDs as assigned, and help manage customer flow and lines.
• Assist with receiving and documenting cultivator deliveries in accordance with inventory and compliance procedures.
• Support order coordination, pick-and-pack fulfillment, and bulk-to-shelf inventory movement as directed.
• Assist management with operational tasks and staffing coordination within the scope of the role.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Security duties are the primary function of this position. Any security-related activity requiring separate licensure, training,or authorization may be performed only when legally permitted and specifically authorized by High Haven / Aces.

Associates must not exceed their training or authority.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the applicable Illinois dispensing organization agent identification card and anyother credentials legally required for assigned duties.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• At least one year of retail or hospitality experience involving POS and basic computer skills preferred; cannabis retail experience is a plus.
• Must remain compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and company training and policies.
