Senior Bookkeeper - South Bristol

Position:
Permanent, full time

Salary - up to £32k

Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for their next challenge? Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a talented Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive practice where you can take ownership of a diverse portfolio and contribute to the success of the business.

The Position:

Managing bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based accounting software (primarily Xero and Quick Books)
Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC
Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate ledgers
Assisting with cashflow and budgeting reports for clients
Liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
Supporting the wider accounts team as needed

Person Specification:

Proven bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
Strong working knowledge of Xero and/or Quick Books
Solid understanding of VAT rules and reporting
Confident in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
