This is a role as a Receptionist at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for the care home, providing professional and high‑quality customer service. The role involves administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, maintaining databases, and providing general assistance to the General Manager.

Main duties of the job

As a Receptionist at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be on offering professional, high‑quality customer service as the first point of contact within the care home. You will be responsible for answering the telephone, responding to enquiries, redirecting calls to relevant staff, and recording messages. Additionally, you will complete reception‑related administration, maintain databases, and provide administrative assistance as required by the General Manager.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the general tidiness of the reception area and liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards are maintained.

About the role

Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high‑quality customer service as first point of contact within the home as well as providing a range of administrative services.

Job responsibilities
  • Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
  • Completing reception‑related administration, maintaining databases, and providing administrative assistance as required by the General Manager.
  • Maintaining the general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards are maintained.
