Exciting opportunity to support children in a Y3 class in a primary school in Weston-Super-Mare. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to promote positive behaviour, and support lessons to enhance student engagement and achievement. You will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all pupils.

The Candidate will need:
  • Experience working with children
  • Good organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to student well-being and development
  • Ability to motivate and support pupils
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the class teacher
  • Managing student behaviour and attendance
  • Helping to organise the classroom and create a positive environment
  • Supporting pupils at all levels and abilities to ensure they stay on task
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and parents
  • Contributing to the planning and organisation of group activities and events
