Are you looking for a rewarding Learning Support Assistant role on either a day-to-day or permanent basis?
Teacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Weston-super-Mare that supports students from Year 5 through to Year 11 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), where SEMH is the primary area of need. The school takes a nurturing approach to helping students overcome personal and academic barriers, placing a strong emphasis on belonging, positive relationships and developing confidence both within the classroom and the wider community.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September on either a day-to-day or permanent basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support students with SEMH needs, promote positive behaviour, encourage engagement in learning and build meaningful relationships that enable every student to achieve their full potential.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviours

A caring, patient and nurturing approach to supporting learners

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations

A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a supportive team

A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
