Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Air Tester to join their team in Weston-super-Mare.

THE ROLEAs an Asbestos Surveyor / Air Tester, you will carry out a combination of asbestos surveying and air testing duties across commercial, industrial, domestic, and public sector properties throughout the South West.
Working independently with the support of an experienced operations team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Air Tester will ensure all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining compliance with HSG
264, HSG
248, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
- Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG
264 - Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, and leak testing in accordance with HSG
248 - Conducting bulk asbestos sampling and producing accurate survey reports
- Producing compliant analytical reports following air testing
- Working across commercial, industrial, domestic, and public sector properties
- Managing your own workload and daily schedule effectively
- Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
- BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
- 3-4 years' experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Air Tester
- Strong understanding of HSG
264, HSG
248, and current asbestos legislation - Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
- £32,000-£38,000 basic salary
