Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms that can be used to produce new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. It is developing all the time and is now being used as a support mechanism for all kinds of content‑based creations. Please note the use of AI is monitored and if applicants have used it then they are required to declare this.
Keyresponsibilities
- Providing a friendly welcome to patients and visitors of the clinics.
- Updating patients with waiting times.
- Signposting to other support and services, as required.
- Restocking of resources i.e. cups / leaflets / activity packs and preparing information packs, where applicable.
- Keeping patients company if they are on their own, engaging in conversation and utilising resources where available.
- Providing hot drinks and light refreshments (when agreed with the volunteering area/Division).
- Supporting patients to take off outer wear i.e. coats/jackets, to help prepare for their appointment (where agreed with the volunteering area/Division).
- Occasionally moving patients in wheelchairs from the clinic to a 'pick‑up point' in the hospital (where agreed with the volunteering area/Division).
