Job Purpose:

As an experienced Workshop Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the Plant repairs and services are carried out to a high standard, and in a timely manner.

You are the first point of contact for Workshop Management, and will coordinate and plan the response for Breakdowns, routine Maintenance and Services.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support to workshop teams by ensuring timely access to the information, resources, and parts required to complete maintenance, servicing, and repair activities efficiently.
• Coordinate the engagement of third-party repair contractors when required, including raising purchase orders, monitoring expenditure, and approving invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up‑‑date records of all servicing, repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment history to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Manage the end‑to‑‑end parts procurement process, including sourcing the most cost‑effective and suitable options, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and completing goods receipting processes.
• Administer and maintain the internal repair management system, ensuring all maintenance and repair activities are correctly recorded, monitored, and reported.
• Investigate and manage damage‑related repairs, including identifying chargeable items, sourcing replacement components, processing repair costs, and raising customer invoices where applicable.
• Liaise with the Hire Desk to coordinate equipment availability to minimise operational disruption and maximise fleet utilisation.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a service and maintenance control role
• Logical approach to prioritising and with great problem‑solving skills.
• Well organized, proactive and committed to high quality work and standards.
