Position: Skilled Production Operator (Permanent)
Full-Time | Permanent | £12.55 – £24.42 per hour | Morning / Afternoon Shifts | No Weekends

Abatec is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing company producing high-quality products for commercial and industrial use. The business operates in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and quality.

The Role

We are looking for a Production Operator to join a busy production team in the Clevedon / Yatton area.

The role involves measuring finished products to ensure they meet required specifications. Where products fall outside tolerance, you will run them through machinery to correct them. The position requires excellent attention to detail, confidence using measuring equipment (micrometres, screw gauges, etc.), and the ability to work to production targets while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Previous machine operating experience and experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

* Use measuring equipment and tools to inspect finished products

* Read and work from technical drawings and product specification sheets

* Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery

* Accurately complete production and quality paperwork

* Minimise material waste and maximise efficiency

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

* Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures

About You

* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

* Confident using measuring equipment

* High attention to detail and a methodical approach

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

* Comfortable performing repetitive tasks

* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

* Good verbal and written communication skills
