Automotive Assembly Technician – North Somerset

£15 – £15.50 per hour plus paid overtime. Initial 12‑week temporary contract to permanent.

4‑day working week:
Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 5:15 pm. Part‑time positions also available.

Rapidly growing automotive manufacturing business supplying global automotive vehicle manufacturers. Recently refurbished, modern manufacturing and office facilities.

Are you interested in working at the cutting edge of automotive manufacturing? Do you have a passion for cars and want to be trained to assemble gearboxes and engines for several leading vehicle manufacturers?

• Disassemble automotive gearboxes and engines following instructions using tooling and training.
• Inspect a wide range of engine and transmission components.
• Evaluate parts against set criteria and drawings.
• Measure features against drawings using various measuring tools.
• Assemble engines and transmissions on a production line.
• Test engines and transmissions.

• Previous experience in a similar position is not essential as training will be given, but any experience of working within an engineering, manufacturing or automotive/vehicle workshop environment is beneficial.
• Reliable & enthusiastic about working within a growing business, working on projects with leading manufacturers.
• Ability to work in a busy production environment; some tasks can be physical and fast‑paced.
• Overtime available on occasions to boost earnings.
