We are looking for a band 5 staff nurse to join our small but friendly team at the Oncology and Haematology Day Unit at Weston General Hospital. The day unit offers an out-patient service to patients receiving treatments for cancer and haematology disorders. The applicant must be a registered nurse with an interest in oncology and haematology nursing. Experience in the administration of chemotherapy, cannulation and venepuncture and completion of the UKONS SACT passport is dersirable not essential.

- Work cohesively with all members of the ward team and promote effective liaison with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in ensuring that the very best services to patients are always provided.
- Communicate effectively within the team, participate in motivating and supporting team members and maintain confidentiality with patients and carers. Give written and verbal advice/teaching to patients and carers.
- Act as professional role model/team leader setting standards of practice promoting clinical effectiveness and opportunities for teaching others
