The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining the quality standards that underpin safe and efficient battery processing operations. Leading a team within a fast-paced environment, you will ensure materials are correctly assessed, segregated and managed while driving continuous improvement across the sorting process.

The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will:
  • Lead quality activities across battery sorting, inspection and material segregation operations.
  • Ensure only approved battery chemistries progress through the process, maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
  • Manage load verification, material tracking, record-keeping and reporting activities.
  • Train, supervise and develop operational teams, including agency workers.
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support supplier quality activities, audits and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, environmental requirements and safety regulations.
The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will have:
  • Experience in a Quality, Production, Inspection or Supervisory role within manufacturing, recycling, waste handling or materials processing.
  • Experience leading teams and maintaining quality standards within a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control and process compliance.
  • Experience working with hazardous materials, battery products or material segregation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify anomalies, defects and non-conforming materials.
  • Excellent record-keeping, communication and organisational skills.
  • A hands-on approach with the confidence to stop operations when quality or safety standards are at risk.
