Would you like to make a difference in your local community while enjoying a flexible, independent volunteer role? We’re looking for a dedicated Collection Box Co‑ordinator to help support our fundraising team by maintaining our network of collection tins in local shops and businesses.
What you’ll be doing- Visiting local shops and businesses to check and replace collection tins
- Recording tin details on the round sheet provided
- Bringing full tins back to the Hospice for counting
- Building friendly relationships with local supporters
Frequency:
Tin collections are carried out approximately every 3 months, covering around 40 tin placements, mainly within the BS22 postcode area.
This role would ideally suit someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting people, and helping to raise essential funds.
What we’re looking for- A friendly, reliable person who’s happy to travel around locally
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Why we want youTo represent Weston Hospice care in public locations by collecting and replacing Hospice collection boxes from agreed locations and delivering to Weston Hospice care.
What you will be doing- Ensuring each box/tin is numbered and its location recorded centrally on your round sheet
- Collecting the box/tins and issuing new ones
- Taking a proactive approach in identifying potential new locations and placing box/tins with the site owners
- Excellent communication skills

You will need your own transport for this role and some boxes may be heavy.
