As we head into the busy summer season, we’re seeking a personable, proactive, and professional Part-Time Bartender to join our seasonal hospitality team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a certified and experienced bartender to provide exceptional service to our members and guests throughout the club’s facilities, including the pool deck and clubhouse bar. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and equally comfortable mixing drinks behind the bar or taking care of guests on the move. This is a seasonal position, perfect for someone who enjoys fast-paced, social environments and outdoor service during summer months.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes.
Provide bar and poolside service, including taking, delivering, and clearing drink orders.
Circulate around the pool deck and lounge areas to ensure timely and attentive service.
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar area.
Set up and break down the bar and service stations for daily use and events.
Follow all state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
Handle cash and operate POS systems accurately.
Assist with inventory control and restocking as needed.
Collaborate with team members to support private functions, member events, and peak periods.
Uphold Weston Field Club’s standards of service and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid bartending certification required.
Must meet all applicable Connecticut state requirements for alcohol service, including TIPS or Serv Safe Alcohol Certification.
Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a private club, resort, or hospitality setting.
Comfortable with active, mobile service—this is not a stationary position.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays—Thursday through Sunday availability is required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Professional appearance and customer-service mindset.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus tips.
