Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

The Controller at House of Athlete will partner with the senior leadership team to plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions and design our financial operating strategy. This position will also prepare all internal and external financial reports, and will work closely with tax preparers and board members.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems
• Maintain the statement of cash flows
• Manage operational policies, including budgeting, credit card spending, expense processes, and reimbursements
• Prepare high level annual budgets by collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data
• Support internal and external audits as needed
• Oversee banking partners and debt management plans
• Partner with tax accountant on filings
• Oversee payroll + commissions
• Prepare special reports by collecting and analyzing financial information and trends
• Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, filing financial reports as needed, and advising management on needed actions

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years experience in accounting/finance
• An entrepreneurial spirit; experience in early stage high growth companies preferred
• Experience working with multiple entities under different legal umbrellas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills and practices
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Passion for health and fitness
• Experience using Slack and GSuite preferred
