Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Citrus Health & Rehabilitation is a leading skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in the heart of Inverness, Florida. Our in-house subacute rehab unit is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that promotes recovery, independence, and overall wellness.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic in-house subacute rehabilitation team. As a PTA, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist patients in regaining mobility, improving function, and achieving optimal outcomes during their rehabilitation journey.Key

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and other interventions as directed.

  • Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the PT.

  • Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive care planning.

  • Educate patients and families on techniques to promote continued mobility and safety.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.

Qualifications:Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
