The Tax Pillar oversees tax compliance for the clients of the family office, which includes investment and business entities as well as non‑profits, individual and trust returns. The Tax Pillar also plays a key role working with other Pillars at the DFO on planning and implementing new strategies and structures for our clients.
Position SummaryThe Tax Senior will work closely with the Tax Managers ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, tax projections and best‑in‑class planning.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Detailed review of Tax Returns and projections, including trusts, individuals, non‑profits, investment partnerships and operating businesses
- Prepare file memos supporting tax positions
- Collaborating with internal teams on various strategies and liaising with outside providers
- Providing leverage and support for Tax Director and Tax Managers
- Drafting notice responses to Federal and State taxing authorities
- Reviewing the performance of outside providers as part of the larger team, and being vocal on recommendations and escalations
- Working on special projects as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- At least 2 years minimum working at a public accounting firm, family office, or adjacent exposure law firm
- Exposure to a variety of tax returns
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, challenging, and collaborative environment
- CPA Certification preferred
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $115,000 to $130,000 (inclusive of a merit‑based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401(k).
