This role provides strategic and operational leadership across all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective team management. The position oversees consolidation, compliance, and process optimization while supporting organizational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead timely and accurate month-end close and prepare consolidated financial statements, including international entities under US GAAP.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve account reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
- Research, document, and implement technical accounting guidance.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies in alignment with regulatory and business changes.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls across accounting processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors on planning, interim work, and year‑end audits.
- Provide variance analysis, KPI reporting, and financial insights to support strategic decisions.
- Lead financial integration efforts for new entities.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure aligned and accurate monthly results.
- Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff; establish clear roles and training programs.
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance work culture.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and systems, including ERP implementation and enhancement.
- Standardize accounting procedures and reporting tools.
- Serve as a key liaison to senior leadership, regional finance teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Support preparation of materials for lenders, board meetings, and audit committees.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 15+ years of progressive financial management experience.
- Deep expertise in financial consolidation, US GAAP, reporting, and audit coordination.
- Strong ERP system experience and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities and strong communication skills.
- Global experience is a must
- Experience in the hospitality, entertainment or retail industries is a plus
