Shift
: 24‑hour position (3 days) with a rotating monthly weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday)

Job Summary
:
Develops and implements group therapy programming in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan and goals. Works within the Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide direct clinical care to children, adolescents, and adults.

• Conduct patient assessments and establish recreational/leisure therapy treatment goals.
• Evaluate each patient’s progress and the effectiveness of recreational/leisure therapy interventions.
• Coordinate therapeutic recreational/leisure activities for both large and small groups; observe patient response and encourage socialization.
• Provide patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic recreational/leisure activities in the community.
• Facilitate activity and therapy group‑based programming in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan and goals.
• Participate in planning processes and clinical programming based on evidence‑based initiatives.
• Work closely with attending psychiatrists and other members of the treatment team to initiate and implement treatment plans specific to each patient’s needs and goals.

• Master’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, art therapy, movement therapy, music therapy, social work, counseling, or another related human service field.
• At least 1‑year experience in behavioral health, particularly inpatient (internship experience applicable).
