Litigation Associate Attorney – Verrill – Westport, CT
Verrill, a leading full‑service law firm, is actively seeking a Litigation Associate to join our Litigation Practice Group in our Westport, Connecticut office. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda informing case strategy and client advisement.
- Prepare and respond to written discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
- Draft pleadings such as complaints, answers, and motions, including dispositive motions.
- Prepare for and attend depositions.
- Work on complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial.
- Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
- Prior litigation experience; a judicial clerkship or 1–3 years of experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Strong academic record.
- Outstanding verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
- Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
