Food Pantry Assistant

Position Summary

The Food Pantry Assistant helps support the daily operations of the food pantry, working closely with the Food Pantry Director to help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient pantry environment.

• Pick up food donations from various locations 4 days of the week
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Clean driver's license

• Assist clients during pantry hours, ensuring respectful and supportive service.
• Help to maintain a welcoming, atmosphere for clients of all backgrounds.

• Working with Manager, assist in the monitoring of inventory levels and communicate needs to management (e.g., low-stock alerts).
• Assist with stocking, sorting donations, and keeping storage areas organized.

• Special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High level of reliability, professionalism, and compassion.
• Position Requires availability to work 32 hours per week.
• Bilingual – English & Spanish speaker is essential
• Clean drivers license

• Ability to lift up to 25–35lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and reach for extended periods.
• This position operates in an indoor environment
